Under the leadership of Dr. Ramakant Bembde, a renowned plastic and reconstructive surgeon, Bembde Hospital has successfully performed over 1,200 free cleft surgeries under the Smile Train program alone since 2007. With additional support from Bajaj Finserv Health, we continue to reach more patients in need, ensuring comprehensive care and post-surgical support for every child and adult who walks through our doors.

Cleft lip and palate are among the most common birth defects, yet they are completely treatable with surgery. Unfortunately, due to financial or social limitations, many families are unable to access quality medical care. That’s where Smile Train and Bajaj Finserv step in—enabling us to provide world-class surgical treatment free of charge, backed by a compassionate and skilled team. At Bembde Hospital, our care goes beyond surgery. We ensure comprehensive support including diagnosis, pediatric evaluation, surgical correction, postoperative care, nutritional counseling, and referral to speech therapy when needed.
